Aug 22, 2019Aug 23, 2019

The ability to respond to individuals with disabilities has posed varying challenges to officers across the country and high-profile cases have exposed the need for more involved awareness and education. The characteristics, and how to recognize, identify, and properly respond, are imperative across settings. As the population increases and more individuals are active in the community, the need to ensure accurate and appropriate response is critical. This 2-day course will prepare the participant to provide training on various disability characteristics that law enforcement may encounter.
