Forensic Statement Analysis (FSA)

Organization(s): Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (VDCJS) and Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA)

Jul 16, 2019Jul 18, 2019

This three-day course is designed for new and seasoned investigating agents/officers and military personnel charged with finding the truth. Through the use of Forensic Statement Analysis (FSA), investigative agents/officers and military personnel are safer, better prepared to conduct more thorough interviews and reaching the ultimate goal of obtaining more court preferred confessions. FSA is a process of obtaining the "pure version" of a person's own story with little to no influence by the interviewer. The statement is then treated as its own crime scene whereby his/her own words of betrayals are then used against them to find the hidden truth. This course is designed for all levels of experience, and is limited to 75 participants.

Target Audience: This training is open to all sworn law enforcement officers.
