Introduction to sUAS - Public Safety

Organization(s): Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX)

Apr 15, 2019Apr 17, 2019

Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS or drones) have unique implications for public safety personnel. Drones can put eyes and ears on the ground and in the air in scenarios that would be impenetrable or life-threatening to personnel. This technology has the potential to extend your team's abilities while improving the safety of everyone involved in an emergency. This course is comprehensive, hands-on training that helps translate this potential into action by providing information that impacts public safety and empowers you to make informed decisions during the planning stage - when you have the chance to maximize your return on investment.

Target Audience: Police, firefighters, and emergency management personnel.

Location: Bryan, TX
