SOAR for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) Pilot Training

This training will cover how to recognize, identify, screen for, and respond to human trafficking in a trauma-informed way. The training is intended for SANE, SAFE, or forensic nurse examiners or other health care providers who work with trafficking patients. After completing the training, participants will be able to recognize the nature and scope of trafficking, describe risk factors for individuals who are at risk of trafficking, recognize verbal and nonverbal indicators of trafficking, assess the needs of individuals who have been trafficked and deliver appropriate health care services, identify trauma-informed screening tools and techniques for use by health care providers, and coordinate services within a multidisciplinary network.
