Dear Colleague: 

We would like to share important news with you about Margolis Healy, the national consulting firm that was charged with establishing the NCCPS in 2013 through a cooperative agreement and funding. Margolis Healy was acquired by Philadelphia-based law firm Cozen O'Connor. You will find the official release below.

We want to assure our colleagues and partners that the mission, values, and dedicated team at the NCCPS remain unchanged by this acquisition. We remain steadfast in our mission of sharing important news and resources, identifying emerging issues in campus safety and security, and refining and delivering groundbreaking training, including our Trauma-Informed Sexual Assault Investigation and Adjudication Institute. We will continue to collaborate with professional associations, federal agencies, non-profit and advocacy organizations, and campus personnel working in law enforcement and security, emergency management, student affairs, mental health services, administrative offices, and others who work tirelessly to support safer campuses.

Margolis Healy & Associates, LLC Acquired by Cozen O'Connor

Margolis Healy & Associates, LLC is pleased to announce we have been acquired by Philadelphia-based law firm Cozen O'Connor. This acquisition by a business subsidiary of Cozen O'Connor comes six months after Cozen O'Connor launched the country's premier Institutional Response Group led by Gina Maisto Smith and Leslie Gomez. The highly accomplished attorneys in the Institutional Response Group provide legal advice and guidance to assist institutions in preventing and responding to sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, child abuse, and other forms of interpersonal violence. Our new firm will be known as Margolis Healy and Associates, LLC.

In 2013, with a grant from the U.S. Justice Department, Margolis Healy & Associates, LLC opened the National Center for Campus Public Safety. The new entity will continue the operation of this center.

We have worked tirelessly to assemble the best and brightest in the campus safety and security and regulatory compliance fields in order to provide Margolis Healy and Associates, LLC clients with outstanding service. This high-level of professionalism and breadth of experience will continue under our new partnership. Our addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses will all remain the same.
