Margolis Healy Names Kim Vansell to Lead the National Center for Campus Public Safety

Richmond, VT — Margolis Healy, a leading campus safety, security, and regulatory compliance firm for higher education and private and public K-12 school systems, has named Kim Vansell the inaugural Director of the National Center for Campus Public Safety (National Center). Chief Vansell is currently the Director of Public Safety at the University of Central Missouri and will begin her new position with the National Center on May 1, 2014.

Reporting to Dr. Margolis and Mr. Healy, Ms. Vansell will be responsible for leading and administering the National Center including hiring and developing of staff, managing the budget, overseeing the conditions of the cooperative agreement, and ensuring the National Center operates successfully within the strategic and tactical goals that have been articulated for the National Center by Congress. She will facilitate the National Center’s mission of providing an array of services to campus public safety agencies, members of campus communities, advocacy organizations, professional associations, and government entities. Ms. Vansell will be based out of the National Center’s Burlington, Vermont offices.
