Violence Reduction Network (VRN)

Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)

A comprehensive program created by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), to leverage existing DOJ resources to deliver strategic, intensive training and technical assistance (TTA) in an "all-hands" approach to reduce violence in some of the country’s most violent cities. This data-driven, evidence-based initiative complements DOJ’s Smart on Crime initiative through delivery of strategic, intensive training and technical assistance. Designed to enhance a site’s current goals, VRN builds on efforts already under way, leverages lessons learned, and delivers a broad spectrum of resources via a strategic and holistic approach.  Through the VRN website you can access newsletters, webinars, research briefs, articles, reports and other resources on a variety of topics such as crime prevention, domestic violence, drugs, gang violence, investigations, victim/witness assistance, and violence reduction.

The National Center for Campus Public Safety website is funded through cooperative agreement 2013-MU-BX-K011 from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. Neither the U.S. Department of Justice nor any of its components operate, control, are responsible for, or necessarily endorse, this website (including, without limitation, its content, technical infrastructure, and policies, and any services or tools provided).
